Patricia Font

Director and screenwriter born in Barcelona. Director and script professor at ESCAC, UIC (International University of Catalonia) and showrunners (series script school).

Before starting to direct, she worked as a script for directors such as Bigas Luna, Pau Freixas, Santiago Zannou, Judith Colell, Sílvia Munt and Jordi Frades among others.

In 2013 she directed the second season of the hit TV show Polseres Vermelles (The red band society) and two years later, she was also a scriptwriter and director of the TV show Cites, both produced by Fílmax and TV3.

In 2015 she won a Goya Award for the short film Café Para Levantar (2014) she wrote and directed, which was selected at festivals around the world and nominated for the Gaudí awards.

At the beginning of this 2019, Font premiered his debut, the romantic comedy Gente que viene y bah, starring Clara Lago, with Carmen Maura and Alexandra Jiménez in the cast. A part of the filming was done in Caldes d’Estrac. Gente que viene y bah is a production of Zeta Cinema and Atresmedia Corporación Cine, with the participation of TV3. DeAPlaneta took care of the distribution.

Currently, she works as the director of the new TV3 show, Les de l’Hoquei, produced by Brutal Media, and is preparing her second feature film: Sobre el amor y el tiempo.
