Some of the films from the official Low Budget and Creative Rosebud Awards sections of the Calella Film Festival will be screened at the Cines Girona in the Catalan capital, in a further step of the organization to become a reference festival in the area of the coast of Barcelona-Maresme.
Thanks to the commitment of the Tourist Consortium of the Maresme to give a boost to the festival of calellense cinema, the organization has reached an agreement with two emblematic rooms of Maresme to make the screening of some of the films selected in the categories Low Budget Films and Creative Rosebud Award You can see them in the Foment Mataroní and the Centre Parroquial of Arenys de Mar.
The Mozart Hall of Calella will be the central venue of the festival, but will have others in Barcelona, Mataró and Arenys where some of the films that have entered the competition will be screened. On the one hand, in the Low Budget section, for productions with a budget of less than 500,000 euros; and on the other hand, at the Creative Rosebud Awards, aimed at higher budget productions that stand out for their originality and creativity.
The contest will begin on Friday, June 21 and its closing ceremony will be on Saturday, June 29 at the Sala Mozart in Calella.
The jury of the competitive sections will be formed by film and television professionals such as Itziar Castro, Gisela Krenn, Santi Millan, Patricia Font, Jordi Frades or Sergi Pompermayer.
