Amparo Larrañaga

Actress, born in Madrid (1963), within a family of artists essential in the Spanish cultural ecosystem. His grandparents were María Fernanda Ladrón de Guevara and Ismael Merlo; his aunt, Amparo Rivelles; his mother, María Luisa Merlo; and his father, Carlos Larrañaga.

Imbued with that environment, Amparo decided to dedicate her life to acting, and at just 15 years old she went on stage to perform the play Solos en esta tierra (1978), by Manuel Alonso Alcalde. It would be the first in a long list of theatrical titles that have made her one of the most frequent actresses on the Spanish stage for more than 45 years.

In the 80s he began a solid career on the small screen, in the series Fragmentos de interior (1984), based on the novel by Carmen Martín Gaite; Media naranja (1986), the first series she starred in and which earned her the TP de Oro Award for best actress; o Periodistas  (1998-2000), in the role of Laura Maseras.

He is currently performing for the second consecutive year in the highly successful play Laponia, at the Teatro Maravillas along with Mar Abascal, Iñaki Miramón and Juli Fàbregas.
